Getting started - which hardware #509

Hello!

We want to get started using VitalRecorder in an eight-bed ICU using Philips IntelliVue as the primary monitor (other Edwards Monitors and Agilia Syringe Pumps maybe later).
Data protection law urges us that the data are just stored locally. We would like to use a central, already existing NAS (Synology DiskStation) for this purpose.
How would you connect the eight beds?
Can we use Raspberry Pis for this purpose (one per bed, storing data centrally)? - This would be preferred, as they are small.
How do we do the wiring of the Raspberry Pis?

Please point me to the Docs, if the Infos are in there. Unfortunately, I was not able to choose the best options for our setting and plan a setup. I appreciate your help.
Btw as it appears to me the VitalConnect looks like a neat solution. What kind of hardware do you use for this system?

Simon,
Thank you for your questions, and sorry for the late response.
Yes, raspberry pi with a local NAS server can be a good solution for installing the Vital Recorder on multiple beds.
That's how we can collect more than 200 beds at our hospital.
Recently we added more information about the Raspberry Pi version of the Vital Recorder.
You can check the manual below, and if you have any questions, please feel free to send me an email (vital@snu.ac.kr)
