VitalDB was introduced in the BJA journal. #363
Recently, an editorial introducing VitalDB was published in the BJA (in press): "VitalDB: fostering collaboration in anaesthesia research" ( https://www.bjanaesthesia.org.uk/article/S0007-0912" target="_blank">https://www.bjanaesthesia.org.uk/article/S0007-0912(21)00175-6/fulltext )
This article is an editorial about "Deep learning models for the prediction of intraoperative hypotension" ( https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33558051/" target="_blank">https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33558051/ ), a paper previously published in BJA, and cited the disclosure of data through VitalDB as the reason this study was possible.
In the current article, the authors describe VitalDB compared to other publicly available biosignal databases published to date.
We recommend that researchers read this article to improve their understanding of public biosignal datasets, including our VitalDB dataset.
