GE CARESCAPE Bx50 (v3.1.4+) – which StarTech ICUSB232V2 revision was tested? Do other PL2303GT cables work? #756

I have a question about the GE CARESCAPE B850/B650/B450 connection guide, which recommends the StarTech ICUSB232V2 on the monitor side for software v3.1.4 or later.

The ICUSB232V2 seems to exist in two hardware generations under the same product name:

- The instruction manual (rev. 02/24/2022) shows it enumerating as "USB-Serial Controller D", VID 067B / PID 2303, version 4.00, which is a Prolific PL2303HXD.
- The current StarTech product page and datasheet list the chipset as Prolific PL2303GT, whose default ID is VID 067B / PID 23A3.

So I would like to ask:

1. Which revision of the ICUSB232V2 was tested with the Bx50 on v3.1.4+? If possible, could you share the VID/PID it reports?
2. Has anyone tested other PL2303GT-based cables (VID 067B / PID 23A3) on the monitor side? I have a UGREEN USB-to-RS232 cable with this chipset and would like to know if it is expected to work.
3. Does the monitor on v3.1.4+ still recognize the legacy ATEN UC-232A (VID 0557 / PID 2008), or only the StarTech?
4. Are any monitor settings required on v3.1.4+ (for example, a specific USB port or a Wired Interfaces / S/5 setting)?

For reference, my cables are:

- ATEN UC-232A, VID 0557 / PID 2008, rev 4.00 (PL2303HXD), serial Z3KA
- UGREEN USB-to-RS232, VID 067B / PID 23A3 (PL2303GT)
