Dear Friends,
I noticed that there are no records in the clinical sources regarding the type of anesthetics used during surgery. As my research may be impacted by the use of a ventilator, I need to determine whether the patient was on mechanical ventilation during anesthesia.
To identify ventilator usage, I plan to use Sevoflurane or Desflurane administration as a proxy. Therefore, I kindly request that you provide me with data on the usage of these anesthetics during surgery.
I would greatly appreciate any information you can provide, as it could have a significant impact on the accuracy of my research.

If you are talking about Open Dataset, you might want to filter files by track on Data Viewer page (https://vitaldb.net/dataset/?query=viewer).
Enter "Primus" on Search Tracks box, then you will see EXP_DES, INSP_DES, EXP_SEVO, INSP_SEVO tracks. Click the checkboxes of tracks to filter files.

There are a total of 3,733 patients who used Sevoflurane in the Data Viewer page. There are 2,156 patients who used Desflurane. Among them, there are 710 patients who used both Sevoflurane and Desflurane. Therefore, the total number of patients who used any type of "flurane" is 3,733 + 2,156 - 710 = 5,179. Hence, it can be inferred that there are a total of 5,179 patients who used a ventilator. The remaining 6,388 - 5,179 = 1,209 patients are considered non-ventilator users.
